Aviation Department

Aviation Department of MAK was established 22 June 2007. The Department operates three helicopters MI 8AMT VIP, MI 8AMT and MI 8T, which are adequately suited for the Mongolian climate and terrain and equipped with latest navigation and other tools, for passenger and cargo transportation, tourism, aero geological and special purpose flights. The new helicopter hangar was commissioned very recently for maintenance and keeping of the helicopter and office of the crew and technical staff.

Helicopters operated by the Aviation Department of MAK:

Helicopter crew: Pilots and technical staff of the Helicopter Department are the most experienced personnel one can find in Mongolia with operational track record range from 5 through 30 years. Flight crew is routinely trained in Saint Petersburg Aviation Center, Russia every year and technical staff are training Irkutsk and Ulan Ude training centers biannually.

MI 8AMT VIP helicopter (registration #JU6600) was newly manufactured by Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant, Russia and added to MAK fleet in 2011. All seats are equipped with in-flight audio entertainment system, and passengers can enjoy big screen for video and external camera viewing.

This powerful and simple aircraft can take more passengers and cargo and deliver to a place whether it is rough terrain mountain or remote location areas in wide range of operation conditions.
